Myeong Jin Kim / Yonsei University / Korea

Dr. Myeong-Jin Kim is currently a staff radiologist at Severance Hospital, Yonsei Medical Center, and professor in Yonsei University College of Medicine, Seoul, Korea. He is specialized in Diagnostic Radiology, particularly abdominal imaging, and his areas of interest for research include abdominal MR imaging, liver MR contrast media, and imaging of hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma.

Dr. Kim studied Medicine at Yonsei University College of Medicine, where he completed an M.D.(1985), a masters degree(1989) and a PhD(1995).

After his fellowship period in 1992, Dr. Kim became an instructor (1994) and an assistant professor of Diagnostic Radiology at Yonsei University College of Medicine (1996), and spent a year as visiting fellow in MRI division at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, U.S.A. Then he became an associate professor (2000) and has been working as a professor at Yonsei University College of Medicine since 2005.

He has received many academic awards and honors both in Korea and overseas. He has authored and coauthored more than 250 papers in peer-reviewed journals and has served as a reviewer in many prestigious journals: Lancet, Radiology, AJR, JMRI, etc. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for Radiology since 2013. Not surprisingly, he is also one of the preferred speakers at international radiologic conferences: International High Field MR Symposium, ACAR, AOCR, JCR, JSMRM, ESGAR, ISMRM, et cetra.
