Gigin Lin / Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Chinese Taipei / Professor of Radiology

Personal Statement

Dr. Lin is Professor of Radiology in Department of Medical Imaging and Intervention, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan. He is the founding Director of Clinical Metabolomics Core (CMC) in Chang Gung University and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital Taiwan.

The CMC is a new interdisciplinary program that has a focused clinical and research interest in the integration of clinical imaging, image guided surgery, biofluid analysis, clinical oncology and molecular therapeutics in order to drive the discovery, development and deployment of novel molecular biomarkers and targeted therapeutics to guide patient care in oncology. He and his team have pioneered the field of molecular imaging, with conventional imaging modalities such as CT, PET and MRI, for discovery of image-based molecular surrogates of tumor biology and clinical imaging biomarkers for treatment response to targeted therapies.

Starting from gynecology oncology, the CMC have demonstrated the robustness and scalability of this approach in a broad spectrum of cancers to improve patient care.
